How LockFiler works
LockFiler is an encryption application. It is used to transform information and data into unreadable ones, to anyone except those possessing special knowledge, which is usually referred to as a key.
It may sounds pretty complex and scientific, but in reality it is state-of-the-art software which is used to keep your information safe.
Imagine that you have stored all of your files or data onto a safe vault. It is supposed to be difficult to open, but once you unlock it you are able to do whatever you like with its content. You can access your valuable data files and you can watch them, you can modify them, you can store new data or even destroy few of them.
In order to unlock the door of the specific vault, you will need a key. That key is your personal password, that gives you access to the content of your safe box and it must remain secret. In normal cases, you need to keep an eye on your safe to make sure that no one has broken into. Since LockFiler converts your files to useless data for everyone else, but you -the key keeper-,you do not need to worry about your safe. Nobody want to peek on useless data. Using remote vaults (located anywhere in the world)adds a bit more security. Moreover, you will need a "User ID" and a "Login Password" to even access your vault that nobody knows you have them.
