About DLDES

D.L.D.E.S. is a software encryption method based on the concept of applying the encryption key to create the encryption process itself instead of applying the key to encrypt data.

A simple concept that creates a very complicated result

The basic directive for a data encryption method is to change the data values under a given process using a given key in such a way that could be decoded using a kind of reverse process using the same key. Well, the right reverse process can be created only with the key that was used to secure the file.

D.L.D.E.S. creates an encryption process build from a randomly selected number of randomly selected encrypting functions that operate on the input data in a scrambled sequence in a byte processing fashion. The input data byte value for an encrypting function may be the original data byte value or the output of the previous encrypting function.

The acronym stands for “Dynamic Linkage Data Encryption System” because by selecting (n) different algorithms, creates “Dynamically Links” a new Data Encryption program (System) which is depending on the key.

This encryption method uses 6 banks of 1 encryption process operating on 8 different modes per bank, can dynamically select one out of 188743680 different encryption methods to encrypt source data under a key.

In that way we come up with a very large number of different multi-step encryption methods and a key that is so involved in programming and providing resources for the selected algorithm that may not need to be applied on the source data at all. At the same time nobody can get the source data from the encrypted output unless he/she has the right key to program the decryption operation.

Since the encryption key is 32 digits long (any user key will be converted internally to 32 digits), we end up with 10^32 trials and there are two ways to break in to the encrypted data: a) “Trial and Error” and b) “Using the correct key”.
